I was at a loss, not knowing what to get my Honey for her birthday on November 11th (11:11 for those of you in the know).
I wracked my brains trying to find something unique and different
but couldn't come up with a thing.
Well, since we love to travel, and since we've always wanted to visit
Paris, what better time to go than now. And what better present could
I give her than the City Of Lights???
So I booked a short trip (we didn't have much time) from Friday November 4-8.
We left Atlanta on Friday November 4th, flying through Detroit,
and landing at Charles de Gaulle Airport at about 11am Saturday.
We stayed at the Hotel Du Cadran, which was just a few short blocks
from the Eiffel Tower, in a really nice, quiet neighborhood.
We felt totally safe walking the streets, and riding the Metro, at all hours of the day and night. We never got back to our hotel before 2 or 3am because we loved walking the city.
Since the Eiffle Tower was so close we were there several times every day. We always left the Metro at the Eiffel stop so that we could. It's such a beautiful structure and the city is so beautiful when seen from the various tower levels.
We also visited the Louvre (you need days to see it all!), the
Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Arc du Triomphe.
It is one of the most romantic places we have ever visited!!! Well worth the trip.
